Sequent to Speak at the Ashtabula Safety Council in March

COLUMBUS, Ohio (February 18, 2010) — George Lesko and Robert Moore of the Sequent Safety Group will speak at the Ashtabula Safety Council in Ashtabula, Ohio on March 11th, 2010. They will be delivering a talk titled, “The Total Cost of Risk: A Merger of Safety and Risk Management.” The talk will address how prevention, through Safety Management, and effective Risk Management directly effect the bottom line.

Moore and Lesko will discuss how the combination of strategies for Safety Management and Risk Management can help to reduce risks that may result in workplace injuries and illness. While Safety Management strategies help prevent risk of injury in the workplace, when an injury does occur, Moore and Lesko explain that being prepared with effective Risk Management strategies is critical. They will articulate how Risk Management strategies can help prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. In addition, they will discuss how Risk Management strategies can help get employees back to work safely and reduce overall costs.

The Ashtabula Safety Council is one of the many Ohio area Safety Councils. Underwritten by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, the Ohio area Safety Councils are growing in membership.
