Controlling Costs through Risk Management
As part of our Professional Employer Services, there are two areas of Risk Management in which we help our clients control costs: Workers’ Compensation and Unemployment Insurance.

For Workers’ Compensation our risk management activities include:
  • Strategies and procedures for ensuring prompt and proactive claims management such as:
    • Ensuring completion of employee, supervisor and witness accident reports
    • Prompt processing all claim forms
    • Reviewing all claims prior to approval
    • Attending hearings when necessary
  • Guidelines for performing a thorough accident investigation immediately after an injury

Injured Worker Advocacy
An important aspect of our approach to claims management for workers’ compensation is injured worker advocacy. We work diligently with all parties involved to ensure that injured workers receive quick access to high-quality healthcare and, when appropriate, all the benefits and rehabilitation services they are eligible to receive. When injured workers receive prompt medical attention, it greatly assists in a quick and appropriate return to work, which in turn, benefits all parties involved.

Workers’ Compensation Audit Support
Workers’ Compensation audits don’t need to be challenging. We handle the audit for our clients on our workers’ compensation policy, including:

  • Analyzing the requested audit information to help define the purpose and direction of the audit
  • Gathering all the documentation requested
  • Explaining every piece of documentation to thoroughly define the purpose and intent
  • Having a knowledgeable person of the business operation available to answer any questions about workers' compensation

For Unemployment Insurance, our risk management activities include:

  • Managing the claims process
  • Attending hearings and administrative reviews
