Adult First Aid for the Community and Workplace 
First aid, when applied properly, can save lives, reduce recovery time, and potentially mean the difference between temporary disability and lifelong disability for the injured employee.

This American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) program teaches participants to recognize the signs and symptoms of injuries and sudden illness. Participants are introduced to crucial information about dealing with emergencies such as:
  • Shock
  • Burns
  • Strains
  • Strokes
  • Seizures
This program was reviewed by and meets the guidelines of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Our ASHI-authorized trainers can train a group at your worksite, or you may make arrangements to come to Sequent for the training.

Certification Period: three years
A certification card will be issued for successful completion of the course which includes performance evaluation and a multiple choice written exam.

Training Program Specifics:
  • Course length: four hours
  • Cost: $35 per student, per class for Sequent clients.
  • Open to the public for $45 per student, per class.
  • $10 per student discount is available when this course is combined with another ASHI training program on the same day.
  • Student learning materials are included in the course fee.
  • Class size: four to twenty students.
