Site Assessments
Site assessments vary in type, scope and frequency based on your business size, needs, and specific compliance requirements. The type of assessment you need depends largely on the type of business you have and the regulatory agencies governing your industry. Site assessments include:
- Assessments of grounds, buildings, fire safety, and potential environmental conditions
- Evaluation of equipment/machinery for age, condition and point-of-operations hazards
- Identification of physical hazards including assessing the severity and ease of correction and developing a plan for implementing corrective action
- Identification of people-related hazards, including outlining any required retraining
- Evaluation of written safety programs and policies
- Identification of current safety training program and documentation
Follow-up Site Assessments
Once we conduct an initial site assessment, we recommend periodic follow-up site assessments be conducted on a monthly or quarterly bases. These follow-up assessments could be:
- Scheduled or unscheduled/random
- Annual, bi-annual or quarterly
- Baseline or in-depth
